John has over 25 years of energy experience with extensive background in sales, marketing and operations for both regulated and unregulated power and gas operators. He excels at originating and structuring complex natural gas, power, and renewable transactions, along with a strong commercial background and record of building solid customer relationships and outcomes. John is responsible for all aspects of Approved’s sales strategy and execution, including direct and indirect channels, forecasting and planning, and territorial expansion plans. Prior to joining Approved Energy, John was Vice President of Gas and Power Origination at Direct Energy and was responsible for all wholesale natural gas and power origination activities in North America. His focus was on natural gas and power utilities, natural gas producers and pipelines, and power generators. Before his tenure at Direct Energy, John held various leadership positions in Trading, Operations, and Sales at Hess Corporation and Keyspan Energy.

Personal Experience

Houses constructed after 2005 are generally well insulated and have a low heat loss. This makes them heat pump ready. If you are replacing a boiler or thinking of renovating your home, we strongly recommend you install a heat pump rather than a gas or oil dependent technologies such system pumps and solar panels.

The organisation organizes events, shares information and resources about the solar industry, and leads projects that promote the use of solar energy. Their “Tiny Watts” program focuses on small applications.
